Formal Glam

I bought a new dress and decided to do a makeup look that would look great with it. It was very simple The only cosmetics I used on my eyes were:

• Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil Zero
• Wet n Wild Liquid Liner in Black
• Urban Decay Matte Eyeshadow Perversion

On my cheeks I used a blush from the Coastal Scents 10 Blush Palette. Last but now least on my lips I used Hard Candy's Visibly Wet lip pencil in Jezebel.

• BTW the dress was bought from Plato's Closet (resale shop) for $12! If you have one near you, then you should really check it out! They only except barely used or never used women or men clothing.

OCC Lip Tars!!! =]

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics
Lip Tars Review

Lips tars are a great addition to add to you lip collection. They are highly pigmented and can be used in a variety of ways. What I really like about OCC is they sell colors that you would rarely find. Of course you could only use those colors editorial or Halloween uses but it can be fun to use them if you are really into makeup.
The pros are the pigmentation. It is so rich in color that you don't even have to use a lot of product. Which means you would get you money's worth. I also like that they are silky, smooth, and they last all day. You don't have to worry about taking the tube with you when you are out and about since it has a lot of staying power. I would say keep your favorite clear lip gloss on hand when you lips began to dry out and the application will look like new. Lips tars smell great as well. They remind me of the peppermint candy canes on a Christmas tree. Yummy ^_^! Another thing that is really great about them is they are very versatile. I recommend buying more than one so you can mix them to get colors that you want. They can be applied as blushes as well! They don't recommend that you use them on your eyes since they have peppermint in the formula, but Koren from EnKoreMakeup , a make up artist on youtube, has a tutorial to show how you can use the lip tars as eyeshadows.
The cons about this product is it WILL stain you, your clothes, or whatever it comes into contact with. So be extremely careful, because I have dark skin and it stained my hand and lips horribly, but its nothing my Purity facial cleanser by Philosophy couldn't handle. It is a great idea to use a lip pencil with this product. Normally I don't do lip pencils but if you don't want your lips tars to bleed then you must use a lip pencil.
OCC's lip tars are great to add to your collection. Their not too expensive and shipping took no longer than four days. At $13.50 you get enough product that will last you awhile and if you "Like" Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics on Facebook they will let you know when they are having "Garage" sells. Don't let the colors scare you off, though. The more you apply the more intense your look will be and vice versa. Try them out! I guarantee that you will just adore them. I rate this item a 10/10!

AOFM School

I recently just stumbled upon this make up school. It is the Academy of Freelance Makeup. Everything that they are showing on the website is really making me excited. They teach a variety of things such as makeup, hair, nails, brow shaping, skin care and etc. The classes are a month long. The class that I want to take is the Total PRO Creative Specialist Certificate. Its a 4 week course and you will learn a vast about of details when it comes to makeup, hair, nails, and airbrushing. I'm going to call and ask about more information about the classes such as the price for this particular course. One thing I do like is that say they will give you hands on experience with working as a intern at the London Fashion Week. I am really amped about this! I really pray that I am able to save up the money to take the class and find housing in New York for a month. I believe this would be a great life experience for me.

I wanted to be a little more festive this year ,more than usual, so instead of just doing a Halloween look, I decided to celebrate "Dias de Los Muertos" by trying out a sugar skull as a makeup look. Hope you enjoy my take on a sugar skull. I think I did pretty good for my 1st time. Please feel few to comment. =]
